Come & Try Water Polo – Sunday 15 December

Join former Australian water polo champion Maddy Steere – Northcote Water Polo Club’s new Head Coach – for their free beginners clinic on Sunday 15th December, 2024.

Recently retired from international competition, Maddy Steere is now the Head Coach of Northcote Water Polo Club. Before this she was a long-term member of the Australian national team – the Stingers – and played internationally for over a decade, representing her country around the world. Her notable achievements over that time included a bronze medal at the FINA World Championships in 2019 and a gold medal in the 2014 FINA World League Intercontinental Cup.

Steere is passionate about the sport and athlete development, sharing her knowledge and experience through coaching and mentoring athletes.

Steere has been coaching water polo since 2016 at schools, universities, and camps in Australia, the USA and Zimbabwe. She has also been instrumental in Water Polo Australia’s Aspiring Athlete Program, supporting over 100 young athletes.

She is thrilled with the opportunity to join Northcote Water Polo Club to help grow it as a sustainable and competitive community-based club that values inclusion, well-being, teamwork and fun.
